I provide expert analysis on all five Refugee Convention grounds — political opinion, religion, ethnicity, membership of a particular social group (including LGBT and gender-based cases), and nationality — with a focus on Anglophone West Africa.

This includes:

• Political persecution of activists, journalists, whistleblowers, and opposition figures.
• Religious violence and suppression, including interfaith tensions, attacks on minority sects, and discrimination against converts.
• Ethnic and communal violence involving Fulani, Tiv, Ogoni, Mandingo, and other minority groups.
• Pervasive gender-based violence, including rape, domestic abuse, and institutional failure to protect women and girls.
• Persecution of LGBT persons by state and non-state actors; criminalisation, blackmail, and societal rejection.
• Police brutality, enforced disappearances, and torture in detention.
